About Me

My name is Ann Rogers. I am an elementary school media specialist in at Swainsboro Elementary School in Georgia. I have been the Media Specialist here for 17 years. Before that, I taught Technology Education at Bulloch Academy. On top of all my media center duties, I am also the yearbook editor for the school.

One of the things I love most about being a media specialist is seeing kids love to read. Reading is a passion of mine and I love to connect students with books that they enjoy. I LOVE having a conversation with a student about a book or series that they find that excites them. 

I also really enjoy using new technologies to deliver my lessons. As the Media Specialist, I feel that it is my duty to demonstrate to teachers how technologies can be used in their classrooms to deliver any lesson. 

In my personal life, I am the mother of 4 children, ages 9, 10, 15 and 17 - yes, I have a senior this year... YIKES! I attend football games (as a band mom), dance recitals, piano recitals, scout meetings, karate demos, tennis matches and many other various activities that feature my children.
